More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Wet surface snow with free water in top 0.5 to 1 cm noted on N-NE aspects up to 7,800. Colder snow with no free water above. Ridgetop winds transporting old snow prior to the onset of new snowfall. Wind loading test slopes near treeline alond summit ridge gave no cracking or collapse in response to ski cuts. Stiffing of surface slab was apparent.
