Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Good overnight refreeze above 7,800' and below 7,000'. The in between area had a much weaker overnight refreeze due to air temperature inversion and the warmest air having been trapped within this elevation range. This was most evident in treed areas where radiational cooling was the most limited. Melt freeze conditions existed in all areas below 9,000' that receive sun. Melt freeze extended higher on E-S-W aspects. On E aspects, the snowpack is still in a transitional state above 8,500' with well developed corn snow conditions below 8,500'.
