Full spectrum of snow surface conditions observed on northerly aspects between 6,800' and 9,100'. Cold hard wind affected snow at treeline, cold and settled unconsolidated snow below treeline above 8,000', breakable crust below 8,000', and wet surface snow below 7,300'. Test pit dug at noted lat/long at 7,300' on an open sunny ESE aspect below treeline at 11am. Wet snow on surface around 5cm deep. Evidence of previous melt freeze affecting the top 12cm of snow in this location. Repeatable CTM-19 at 10cm that rebonded almost immediately after failure. Unable to remove the failed upper portion of the column due to rapid rebonding at failure plane.
