Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Variable snow surface conditions with a bit of everything. Heavily shaded N aspects held isolated pockets of unconsolidated surface snow with ski penetration up to 5 cm (2 in). Other areas held variable degrees of melt-freeze affected surface snow ranging from frozen supportable to breakable crust to 1 inch of wet surface snow over supportable on ESE-SE-S aspects at 10:30 am at 9,600.

Snowpit data collected at noted lat/long (N aspect, 9,440') revealed no signs of instability. Dry, somewhat loose grain rounded snow crystals in the upper portion of the snowpack directly below the Feb 8 rain crust are currently well bonded, but worth keeping an eye on.
