Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

New snow amounts in this area ranged from 10-15 cm at 7,800 at the Red Lake Parking area and up to 20-25 cm at 8,800' on Elephant's Hump. Very little wind effect in this area and little to no wind slab formation was observed. New snow slab had very little cohesion and was not reactive in snowpit tests. At the testpit location (noted lat /long, N aspect, 8,800') the slab was too soft for effective CT's and ECT's. PST gave a SF result at 23% cut length. No signs of instability observed in this area. Formal snowpit profile for this location from pre-storm is available at: http://www.sierraavalanchecenter.org/tue-02242015-1130-near-surface-facets-red-vistaelephants-hump.
