Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Wet snow with free water in the upper 10-15 cm of the snowpack forming in all sun exposed areas. Heavily shaded north aspects also experienced an increase in snow moisture in the top 10cm of the snowpack, despite snow temperatures remaining below freezing. Minimal evidence of wet snow instability, despite widespread wet snow conditions. Photo taken at 2:15 pm on N aspect at ~8,300' shows a couple of skier triggered pin wheels up to 15 cm diameter, the only signs of wet snow instability observed in this area today. No evidence of roller balls, etc on surrounding above treeline peaks with full sun exposure.

Near crust facets present below uppermost rain crust in this area, not a current stability issue. Well bonded snowpack below the near crust facets.
