More detailed information about the snowpack:

Minor cracking and instabilities within storm snow observed on steep wind loaded test slopes, especially when undercut. One 10ft radius whoomph experienced appx 40cm down consistent with depth of NCF, on E/SE low angle feature at 9,000ft.

Pic: Natural cornice fall avalanche showing step-down characteristics consistent with other observations. Likely an early AM event, SE aspect at 9,600ft and of inconsequential size. Another deeper crown was observed nearby and likely 24hrs old.

Pit: Presence of crust/facet combo consistent with other observations in forecast area but not reactive to ECTs at this location.
