More detailed information about the snowpack:

This area is another example of a weak but currently stable snowpack. Near surface facets are well developed. Deeper facet layers are also well developed. Anchoring of the deeper facet layers is questionable. There are many large granite boulders in the area that have the potential to anchor the deeper snowpack, but due to the weak low density nature of the deeper facet layers, there may not be much structure to hold onto. Between the near surface facets and the deeper facet layers, there are plenty of weak layer in the snowpack to contribute to future snowpack instability in this area if/when significant precipitation occurs.
