More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Photo 1: Blowing snow visible on Dick's Peak complex, but not on other surrounding above treeline peaks. Possible new wind slab development in isolated areas above treeline.

Photo 2: Snowpit dug at noted lat/long (N aspect, 8,840') revealed stable wind slab. Test pit data indicated 1F hard wind slab, 10cm thick on top of 4F hard storm snow, ECTN-21 at base of soft snow relative weak layer.

Melt-freeze and rain crust snow surface conditions were widespread on all aspects below 8,000' on Rubicon Peak.
