More detailed information about the snowpack:

New snow amounts in this area of 2 to 3 inches from last night. New wind slabs 4 to 8 inches thick were widespread on wind loaded N-NE-E aspects near treeline and above treeline. No evidence of instability was observed in formal snowpit tests or from numerous slope cuts. There was a notable absence of cracking while traveling in wind loaded areas.

Photo 1: New winds slabs up to 8 inches thick along the Far East Ridge of Tamarack Peak, just east of the snowpit location.

Photo 2: One of many ski cuts performed that revealed no signs of instability.
