Moderate Snowfall and Blowing Snow on Andesite

Nice day for storm skiing in the Castle Peak zone. Limited visibility and strong SW winds with moderate snowfall and moderate blowing snow on Andesite Ridge. Supportable crust on all aspects above 7200' with 10cm to 25cm of low density new snow on top. Excellent ski quality at and below treeline. Minor scouring on windward features above treeline. Sensitive cornices and wind deposited snow on lee features above treeline. No natural or human triggerd avalanches were observed. Shooting cracks observed from cornice kicking on test slopes on Andesite Ridge.
