Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Found a loaded pocket along a ridge line @ around 9000' on a NE facing slope. Initial failure propagated about 20 ft from my ski's and the slab released a little farther upslope than where our test slope was. Terrain was not steep enough for the slab to continue down slope.
