Wind slab near Little Round Top

On a tour out to Little Round Top the S and E slopes were gloppy wet. I stopped to check out some of the N / NW slopes on peak 9,422’, part of the ridge that leads to Little Round Top. Just below the cliff band (location circled in red in the photo), just above treeline, I found some small wind slabs that fractured easily, but didn’t travel. It looked like the steeper slopes immediately to my east had the same wind loading. Lower angle N / NW slopes, particularly below treeline, had nice soft snow.
