Buried Facets and Interesting Skiing on Andesite

Opening up the snow on a NE aspect, Near Treeline on Andesite peak revealed an obvious well preserved layer of Facets that were buried from the Dec 16 storm. These facets were 20cm below the surface and 1.5-2mm in size.  We performed multiple Compression Tests all with easy-moderate results, altough shear quality was a bit rough. An Extended Column Test was performed with no propagation. 

Skiing was sub par, with a 5cm breakable crust observed up to at least 8,000', this crust also has small surface hoar development on top.
