Lots of wind effect and warming on Houghton

Toured to Houghton and beyond and found very wind affected snow on N gullies near the ridge and down to about 9800. It was very windy and a lot of snow was moving from the N. Air temp was about 1.5C on the ridge. I did find a little good snow between 10k and 9200 on well protected NE slopes. Below 9k the snow was gloppy by 1400. Air temp was 6C at 8800'. Heading back over to the meadows at around 1500, I found the sun touched slopes to have breakable crust. Good times! First pic is the NW gully top 200'. Second is major glop below 9k.
