Avalanche near Echo Peak

During the desent from Echo Peak skier 1 caused a R1D1 Avalanche. Group 1 skied the Angora bowl and entered complex terrain with steep roll overs. As skier 1 entered a steep roll over, from lookers left, approximately 45 degrees, the slab slid at the top of the convex roll. Skier 1 was able to stop at the crown and it slid below. It was about 30 feet wide and ran for 50-70 feet with a 6" crown. It was soft possibly wind/storm deposited snow on top of a hard crust that skis would not penetrate. It acted and felt more like a loose dry point release but it did have a crown.
