New Snow and Cold Temps at Incline Lake Peak

Cold temperatures along with periods of light snowfall throughout today in the Incline Lake Peak area.  2-4'' of light density cold snow was on top of a soft unconsolidated upper snowpack.  East aspects had ankle deep snow with a supportable bottom with northerly aspects having softer snow with shin to boot top deep.  Winds switched this morning from SW to NE and were mostly light in speed.  Previous wind scouring from the SW winds were observed with large cornices on all the exposed ridges in this area.   No signs of instabilities were observed in wind loaded terrain or on small cornice features.  Plenty of low density snow exists on N-NE-E aspects for wind transport if the NE winds increase in speed over the next couple days.
