Stable snow conditions on Tamarack Peak

We left the car at 10:00 for Tamarack peak and encountered 4-6" of new storm snow for the entire skin up to the top of hourglass bowl.  Weather was mostly cloudy with intermittent light snow and intermittent poor visibility, and temps near 32. We observed very small roller balls on steeper slopes, but none became larger than a billiard ball. We dug a pit near the summit on a NE aspect. I could not probe to the ground using a 320cm probe. Extended column results were ECTN6, with the new snow fracturing on top of the old crust. No fractures propagated and the new snow did not fracture cleanly, but instead just sluffed off the top of the crust. No other signs of instability were found. Small cornices were present at the top of hourglass, but we observed no snow transport and winds were calm to nonexistant all day.  We lapped hourglass several times and encountered good riding. Warming conditions did not seem to be developing by the time we left at 2:30.
