Afternoon tour on Incline Peak

 I headed up Incline peak at about 1245p and was pleasantly surprised to find generally good and skiable snow until my exit at about 2p.  

Approx 1"+ of new snow was already warm and becoming sticky on lower elevations in sun exposed and wind sheltered areas.  A firm non-breakable but edgeable crust still existed making skinning easy.  Temps were quickly rising to tshirt skinning weather when out of the wind.  

N/NE aspects below the summit ridge (9400') held smooth, dense, cold new snow that looked like it would be fun at about 145p.  The summit ridge was frozen hard, breezy and cold.  

Skiing the South Face off the summit at 2p was smooth and enjoyble, and did not feel sticky or like I might break through the crust until about the lower quarter of the descent.  Snow at creek level (8200') at the bottom of the S exposure remained supportable and turnable on skis.  While transitioning back to skins on a mostly flat but still S aspect above the creek I could see and feel the refreeze crust collapsing around my skis, and I sunk to my shins in wet snow when I stepped of my ski with just my boot.  Once back in the trees the skin out was easy and non sticky.
