Firm to Corn on Jake's

Snow was firm and supportable as we ascended beginning at 9:30am. It softened slightly and remained supportable by 11:00. There was debris from a couple of loose wet slides in the SE facing Emerald Bay chute. Beginning at around 8500ft in exposed terrain, I observed wind deposit and scour, which allowed zero ski penetration (see photo). Snow remained supportable for the extent of our tour, 9:30am-12:00pm.

We descended Vikingsholm chute, and were met with variable, cold snow in the upper portion and corn snow in the lower portion.
