Wet conditions on Waterhouse Peak

We toured the eastern aspect of Waterhouse Peak today. It was drizzling rain when we arrived at the trailhead at 9AM. At the summit at noon the rain had turned to snow, with moderate winds. Some shallow wind slab was present in open areas near tree line on E and SE aspects with only minor cracking noted without any propagation.  The unconsolidated snow in the trees turned to boot deep mashed potatoes by noon and on our descent we noted many snow bombs falling from the trees.
