Soft Wind Slabs near Tamarack

Went for a short tour today up to the saddle between Tamarack and Fireplug. We observed lots of wind affected snow, even on the drive up, well below treeline. New snow amounts appeared to be in the 5-10 cm range, though exact amounts were difficult to determine given the wind.

Near the saddle, we kicked at some wind-loaded E facing rollovers. The slabs were still soft, up to 25 cm deep, and were very difficult to propogate beyond the end of the skis, and extended up to 2 meters down the slope. No releases were observed.
