old avalanche, Caples lk area

We toured above Caples lk near Little Round Top today 2/12/20 and started climb just before noon. We encountered roughly 1/4inch of corn mixed with wind buffetted snow on the SE aspect going up. We finished skinning and decended at 12:45 on amazing ~1inch deep corn on a S aspect. At roughly 8,100' we ran into a ridge with an old slide going along it a fair ways. The small ~3inch crown just below a convex roll was 100+ yards wide and ran about 75 feet into a river bed. It looked to originally be a large, thin wind slab possibly. The debre and crown was affected by the last wind event. We were unable to tell if it was human triggered or natural, but guessed natural as the slope leads to a creek.
