Snow Pit and Obs from Incline Lake Area

Test pit on NW facing slope with signs of wind on slope before beginning test.

Snow pack appears right side up with very stable rounded grains(visualized) with pencil hardness from 70cm-45cm

Note worthy details:

@143cm; 3mm thick Pencil hard crust on top of 3cm of "F" facted snow. 

@140cm: 4mm thick knife hard layer. This layer fractured and slid as back of column was cut from the test wall.

CT and ECT test were conducted after layers from 140cm and higher were removed after they fractured during cutting.

Shovel shear test performed and column broke as one piece from 140cm down to 45cm.

No data below 45cm.
