Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Short tour this morning up to Castle Pass; winds out of the east (20-30 mph, gusting higher). Fairly protected down in Castle Valley, but observed active transport at the ridgeline near the pass, with snow being stripped from the east-facing slopes and redistributed on w-facing slopes. Found some surface hoar in open, protected areas; a bit of graupel from yesterday/last night as well.
