Sled Triggered Avalanche - Partial Burial

Our group was cognizant of the avalanche forecast, had been doing observations, planning our routes, communicating as we made progress and terrain changed, etc.  

As we were working around the basin to get into Webber Lake, we were re-routed due to wind scowered ridges and exposed rock.

We were side-hilling and in a momentary lapse of judgement, or the fact that we were just moving along too fast, I popped out of the trees onto an exposed face.  I immediately recognized the hazard, but immediately saw the fsnow racture abiove me and propegate across the ridge.  

I attempted to outrun the slide as I had no other choice, but as I hit the tree line below (and associated terrain traps), was caught, thrown from the sled into a tree stand, and buried up to my helmet.

Once the snow came to a stop I was able to break the snow free around my face/head, then radioed my friends (who witnessed the whole thing from above and had me generally marked).  They were able to respond within 1 minute and free me from the pit.

I was un-injured, and was able to recover my sled which was buried ~6 feet deep.
