Incline Peak

This afternoon I went back to the north ridge of Incline Peak where I dug a pit on Saturday to check out Monday's storm snow and test whether it had reactivated the 12/11 PWL. I found about 15cm of denser, new snow and about 105cm in total. Stability testing adjacent to my previous pit resulted in ECTN29 on the 12/11 facets. Overall it seems that we didn’t receive enough new snow in this area to overload the weak snowpack structure.

I observed active wind transport on the ridges today and at times even in the trees near and below treeline. Coverage had improved marginally since the weekend and skiing on all aspects was heavy but enjoyable.
