Observation
Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

We made observations on Peak 9269' in the West Shore area today.  Snow surface conditions were mostly supportable throughout our tour with the recent rain crust felt up to 7800'.  Conditions ranged from firm wind board in wind exposed areas, some soft unconsolidated snow in wind protected northerly terrain, with variable soft and crust conditions mixed in.  A snowpit just below 9000' showed increased strength in the snowpack that has been occurring throughout most of the forecast region.  The snowpack is made up of mostly dense rounded snow with the Dec 11 pwl slowly getting more dense, uniform, and unreactive to most snowpack tests.
