Light Surface Hoar on Tamarack

Single digit temperatures kept traffic light on Tamarack Peak this morning. Light surface hoar was observed on most surfaces below and at treeline. I attempted to isolate buried surface hoar, but given the light nature of the new snow, I had trouble finding it. Even in mildly windloaded areas, the new snow did not exhibit any slablike characteristics. Winds were light in the morning, but increasing as we left around 11.
