Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions: 

Went for a low angle tour today south of Carson Pass to practice snow pits tests and rescue drills. We dug a pit near treeline southwest of Elephant's back and had an ECTP24 result with about 33cm of dense wind slab. Hot pow below treeline, very gloppy. Strong sun and warm temperatures.
