Elephants Hump PWL Observation

Elephants Hump ski tour with the LTCC AIARE-2 class. Snow profile on 190 cm snowpack on a northeast aspect at treeline yeilded DT12 on the Dec 11 PWL. The Dec 11 weak layer exhibted large facets in the 2mm range, with only some rounding (see picture). Softt skiable snow existed on shaded and north aspects where sun crust was minimal to nonexistant.
