snow pit from Incline Peak

Today I explored the north East facing aspect of incline peak. Dug a pit at 8800 on the east facing aspect right before the summit. Heavy snowfall, and heavy wind has greatly affected the N,NE, and also some southernly aspects. Wind slab was prevelant throughout. Skinning up I noticed a few ski triggered sluff areas that were almost big enough to consider a slide. While digging my pit i observed 8 inches of fresh powder on top of yesterdays 5 to 6 inches of powder. 4 taps from the wrist and the top 12 inches propogated along the extended column test. My probed read 175 cm in depth. (ECTPV). Air tempature was 30 degreees. Sky condition was OVC. While digging my pit i had 3 other parties pass me and chat, and they had the same observations throughout their tour as well. We all noticed with some of the steeper turns you would kick off a substantial amount of fresh sluff aka (face shots) but nothing concerning from either of the groups was mentioned. All and all it was a succesful safe day with good deep turns! I would like to note that i did find faceted layers along the very bottom of the pit on top of dirt. From top to bottom I observed 20 cm of finger pushable snow. From 120 to 20 cm was fist pack hardness. And like I had mentioned already I found faceted sugar like snow at 20 cm to the dirt...
