Obs on Galena Pk

We toured on Galena Peak and then up to proletariat after a few laps. We took a quick pet at about 9000 feet north facing slope on Galena Peak. 200 cm of snow with faceted snow from the ground up for about 60 cm. New snow which was about 12 cm was not well bonded and even the next layer down for another 10 or so centimeters was failry reactive. We saw minimal shooting cracks as we were touring and no recent avalanche activity but we stayed two slopes of 30° or less.
