Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

These avalanches likey occured on Saturday Feb. 13 and were likely triggered by skiers or snowboarders. They both failed on softer (fist hard) decomposing storm snow with a bit of graupel near the base of the storm snow. The slab was 4-finger to 4-finger + in hardness. They both failed on steep (38-40 degree) E facing slopes. They are similar to another small skier triggered avalanche reported on Saturday (original report here) and to one on Sunday (observation here).
