Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions: 

Day one of Motorized Avy 1 course. Staged at Hope Valley Sno-Park. 

Light to moderate winds throughout the day. Mostly cloudy with sun intermittently. Light snowfall without much accumulation. Temperatures above freezing with snow becoming heavy and wet as the day progressed. Some pinwheeling observed. Terrain ridden limited to mostly non-avalanche terrain in the morning advancing to simple and occassional challenging avalanche terrain in the afternoon. No signs of current instablitity. No recent slides observed.
