Wind slab in Bronco Chutes

We toured in the Bronco Chutes area today and noticed a recent wind slab avalanche that ran the length of one of the central chutes. It seemed to be skier triggered, but happened earlier in the day. There where tracks leading out of the debris at the bottom of the slide. The crown was close to a foot deep and got shallower as it extended along the sides of the bed surface.

On our tour, we encountered isolated wind slabs below ridge tops but little propogation and depths of only 1-2 inches. The winds were belowing at 25-30 MPH out of the east and temps in the low teens in the morning. In the afternoon, warming occurred and ice started to fall off trees and we noticed wet snow near rocks. We saw little to no signs of wet avalanche activity even in mid-afternoon around 2-3 PM on our way out.
