No Evidence of Weak Layers on SE side of Waterhouse Peak

Skied the SE Slide Path on Waterhouse this afternoon. Travel was suprisingly easy, with trail breaking only about boottop deep, and boot pen knee deep. The snow has consolidated well, and ski conditions were excellent, even on terrain that barely cracked 30 degrees. No settlement cones on trees however, but many did have depressions around them. Pole probing and hand pits showed a rightside up snowpack, with no obvious weaker layers, or basal facets. We did not dig to ground, but comparing with observations from 10 days ago, this terrain did not have snow on it prior to this storm. The wet snow that kicked off the 12/12-12/14 storm seemed well bonded to the lighter snow on top, and did not show any signs of weakness, and we couldn't easily define the 12/11 snow, or any other layer from anything previous to the last week of snow. No obvious signs of weakness were noted at any point during the tour today, although there was some wind texture at the ridge. Temps were cold (single digits) up high, and we had mostly sunny skies in the afternoon, with almost no wind at all.
