Variable conditions in the Relay Ridge area

Predictably variable conditions in the greater Relay area. Winds have thoroughly scoured exposed terrain. Wind effect was prevalent above and below tree line. Wind slabs on test slopes were 1F and stubborn. Solar aspects experienced melting. Sheltered N facing terrain still held cold snow with boot pen around 25cm. The Bronco area had average cornice development for snowfall and winds we've experienced. From a distance I could make out two old crowns that we're most likely cornice failures on wind slabs.
