Cool breeze and very small wind slabs at Blue Lakes

Colder day than expected, with a moderate SW wind. Thin, high clouds appeared to be blocking sun instead of greenhousing. I went to the wind exposed ridge along the way to Polaris Bowl, where there are several good wind loaded test slopes. There was current but light wind transport taking place. I found one slope with a recent, very small wind slab avalanche, that likely occurred after Saturday when this area received almost 1ft of snow, and before Tuesday when it received another few inches. I performed 4x ECTs at different locations to the sides of the debris, and only one propagated. I used an undisturbed area as a test slope after the snowpack tests, and had to get very close to my previous track to get any cracking. Elsewhere, test slopes had previous tracks still showing just downwind of the obvious wind loaded areas where previous tracks had been covered. To get cracking, these also required stacking tracks from low to high, and getting very close to the first pass. Polaris Bowl did have larger features with smooth surfaces indicating recent wind loading, but I was alone while breaking-in a new top end and did not want to venture far from Blue Lakes Rd to look at these more closely.
