Wind Transport on Burnt Glades

Today we toured on the burnt glades near angora lakes. The weather on our tour varied from sunny to cloudy, with some periods of light snowfall. On our way up the ridge we noticed some crowns from during the storm on the ridge between echo and flagpole peaks below the cliffs. These crowns looked to be at least 1-2 feet tall and 100ft wide. These avalanches seem to have slid during the storm as they seem to be somewhat filled in now.

The cornices on top of echo peak (pictured) have continued to grow with the wind transport seen on todays tour. The southeast winds were filling in the skin track within ~30 minutes. In some spots we saw micro-cornices forming on the leeward side of the skin track. We did not notice any firm snow on the snow surface. We only sank in ~6 in with our skis as we broke trail indicating a firmer layer beneath the most recent snow. By the end of the tour we noticed some 1cm soft wind slabs on the ridge top. As we left we could see large plums of snow blowing off of angora peak.
