warm early in Polaris Bowl

Temp was 45F in hope valley at 5:30am.

Started from Red Lake lot at 6am, everything was wet and soft even before sunrise. made the west col of peak 9,373 by 9am, wind was ripping across the ridges but no snow transport, too heavy and sticky. i skipped the peak because the wind was pushing me over, and instead dropped toward Polaris bowl from the col, 8,900 ft down to 7,300 ft, avoiding all cornices and terrain traps. rode fast steep slush on a NE aspect, some rollerballs but no bigger than ping pong balls and no wet sluff following me down. 

the tour back was wetter and gloppier, my skins were soaked through. not a super meticulous report, more a note on today's conditions timing.
