Observation
Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Strong sunshine battled with cool ambient temps, light E winds, and a solid overnight refreeze, and by mid-morning the sun began to win on E/SE aspects. Shadows cast by trees were enough to tip the balance back towards cold and frozen. We had to wait for it, but the 1-2" of smooth corn snow in the sun was enjoyable without being deep enough for wet loose concerns during our travel on E/SE aspects. The sun's angle became less direct after noon, and significant warming may have skipped over this location entirely today.
