Observation
Description of Snow, Weather, and Avalanche Conditions:

Toured around Mt Judah this morning from Summit parking lot.  3-5" of new snow at trailhead up to maybe 8" at summit.  Wind speeds increased from none to moderate moderate out of the south east with elevation gain. No obvious signs of wind transport on approach until I reached the summit.  Winds out of the southeast were transporting snow onto leward slopes.  Dug a couple handpits on the way up. New slightly dense snow on top of a supportable marganially frozen crust.  New snow was not well bonded and easily pulled away from old snow.  Intended to ride the east face of Judah as there were no signs  of wind loading on this aspect.  However on first turn  on 35 degree slope,  new snow slid maybe 20ft with wet slab/ wet loose avalanche characteristics.  I quickly exited the dlope and we opted for lower angle terrain that provided  enjoyable riding conditions.  Sorry I didn't get a picture but visibility was poor and getting of the slope was a priority.
