More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Several inches of soft, unconsolidated snow still remains on the shaded N-NE aspects. In this area ski penetration never reached the old surface crust. In other areas dust on crust conditions existed below 7500'. Some wind transport of new snow was occurring near the Sierra Crest today. No surface hoar in this area.
