Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

Variable crusts existed on all aspects up to 9000 ft on Rubicon Peak. On the more sun exposed areas a melt-freeze crust existed. On all aspects up to 8300 ft. a thin rain crust sat on the surface. Above 8400 ft on the N-NE aspects an inconsistent wind crust existed in some areas. Below these crusts the snowpack remains shallow (1-2 ft deep) and only covers a few of the rocks on this peak. Most of the rocks, stumps, logs remain exposed. The Nov. 18th  layer does exists near the bottom of the snowpack above 8000 ft on the northerly aspects in this area; however, it is not continuous due to the myriad of anchors on the slopes.
