Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

20 cm of wet, sticky, unconsolidated snow existed on southerly aspects up to 9200'. In some areas one could easily push a ski pole through the snow to the ground. Runnels have formed in the snow surface on many of these southerly aspects due to the recent rains and melting. Some skier triggered roller-balls did occur on a SW facing aspect between 8500' and 9000'. I did not see any larger wet snow instabilities seen. On the northerly aspects a thin sometimes breakable sometimes supportable refrozen rain crust existed on top of about 10 cm of wet storm snow and another rain crust. This rain crust existed up to 9400'. Ski cuts on test slopes and stability test on both of these aspects showed a mostly stable snowpack except for the small roller balls seen on southerly slopes.
