More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Faceting over the last few weeks has weakened the snowpack in this area significantly. Wind scouring has also removed a fair amount of snow from the exposed N-NE aspects on Red Lake Peak. Several anchors now protrude through the snowpack here disrupting the snowpack. The areas where shooting cracks and human triggered whumpfing had occurred Nov 16th have now weakened to the point that the entire snowpack simply falls apart under load.
