More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Rain crusts extends up to 8400 ft in this area on the northerly aspects. Underneath this rain crust the snowpack ranges from a few inches up to 1-2 ft in depth. In some areas the rain and melting has destroyed all of the facets once present in the snow pack. In the deeper areas some facets still remain; however, they area also becoming stronger as bonds form within and between the layers. The W-SW-S-SE aspects have almost no snow on them.
