More detailed information about the snowpack:

Soft, heavy, sticky, wet snow existed on all aspects in this area. On the northerly aspects this wet snow rested above what was the March 6th crust facet combination. These layers are now moist and quickly rounding. Several tests on this layer indicated that fracture propagation has become unlikely in this area. Only one of the tests performed today indicated that fracture propagation remains possible. As the warmer temperatures continue these layers should continue to round. Some very small skier triggered roller balls did occur on a N facing test slope at about 8000ft. On the southerly aspects the soft wet surface snow sat above supportable melt-freeze snow.
