Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snowpack ranging from 8-18" deep in non-ski-run areas. Basal facets are found in most areas. 2-3mm Surface hoar was observed in open areas on E-NW aspects. Patches are discontinuous on Slide Mt, but could be more extensive in other areas. These seemed to form on a thin surface layer of grapel from Sunday's storm.

Localized collapsing was observed on NE-N-NW aspects. Early season condtions cause numerous rocks and trees to disrupt the bedsurface. However, larger more open startzones near and above treeline could be problematic.
